According to global research, young women aged 15 to 24 are projected to become the fastest generation in human history within the next 10 years .
I know a little about this. Fifteen years ago, I didn’t put on weight—I created another entire second person. The scales tipped at 116 kilograms. My blood pressure was through the roof, my heart was doing its own drum solo with palpitations, and I was becoming increasingly grumpy.
My medical advice was simple.
My doctor looked at me and said, “Christie, lose 40 kilos or die.”
I considered both options, the first one sounded more appealing.
So, is fat keeping doctors in business? More importantly, why are we becoming bigger while our health outcomes become smaller?
